Financial management for nonprofit organizations is becoming more important due to increased donor sophistication and access to information, increased competition, and reliability of financial data for executives and board members to make key decisions. This course will provide a basic overview of financial statements and key financial metrics applicable to nonprofit organizations.

Founding Partner Chris Carmona

Chris Carmona, CPA, is a founding partner of Schriver, Carmona & Company and has over 16 years of public accounting experience. Carmona received his Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Accounting from the University of Texas at San Antonio and is a member of the American Institute of CPAs and the Texas Society of CPAs. He currently serves as board member of KIPP Texas (regional), Eva’s Heroes, St. Matthew’s Catholic School, The Nonprofit Council, Guide Dogs of Texas, and C12: Leon Springs CEO Advisory Board.

  • If a Course Is Cancelled or Postponed by the Area Foundation

    If a workshop or class is unexpectedly cancelled or postponed by the Area Foundation, a refund or credit toward another workshop or class will be issued.

  • If You Can’t Attend and Want to Send a Substitute

    If you are unable to attend a workshop or class, you may send a substitute in your place. Please contact the Learning and Development team at [email protected] in advance and provide their information so we can complete their enrollment.

  • Refund Policy for Cancellations by Registrants

    If you are unable to attend and would like a refund, please notify the Learning and Development team at [email protected]. All refunds are subject to a $15 administrative fee. Refunds are not available within 72 hours of the course start time.
