Led by grant experts Dr. Arlene Siller and Daniela Paz from Ascend Nonprofit & Business Solutions, this training equips you to elevate your organization’s grant strategy and create a sustainable impact. In part two, we will dive into maintaining compliance and maximizing grant impact after funding is awarded.

Meet Your Expert Speaker

Chief Operations Officer Daniela Paz

Daniela is a dedicated professional with over a decade of experience in financial integrity, funder compliance, and systems management within the nonprofit sector. As Chief Operations Officer for Ascend NBS LLC, she leads a high-performing team, streamlines processes, and provides strategic grant compliance services to support clients' missions. Daniela focuses on ensuring funding sustainability, maintaining data integrity, and fostering long-term relationships with funders. Previously, as VP of Special Programs and Compliance at LiftFund, she led grant compliance reporting, efficiency projects, audits, and treasury negotiations. Daniela holds a B.A. in Economics and International Studies from Trinity University and certifications in Strategic Grant Proposal Writing and Community Development Finance.

Refund/Credit Policy

  • The San Antonio Area Foundation has a no refund policy.

    If a workshop and/or class has been unexpectedly cancelled and/or postponed by the Area Foundation, a refund or credit towards another workshop and/or class will be issued. If a registrant is unable to attend a workshop and/or class, a substitute may be sent or a credit may be issued. No credits will be given for cancellations received less than 48 hours before a workshop.
