Meet The Team

Learning & Development Director Jessica Lombard

Jessica Lombard is the Learning and Development Director for the San Antonio Area Foundation. Her career includes over a decade of leadership experience, development, and leading teams within project & change management. She also has a decade of service in nonprofit work, where she served San Antonio’s youth as a youth minister. She is an experienced communicator who has a passion to help South Texas non-profits develop their teams and resources to build a positive impact on our community. Jessica strives to help and encourage others to achieve their goals at developing their non-profit missions and capacity. When not serving our great San Antonio community, you can find Jessica supporting her daughters with Volleyball or Drill team.

Learning & Development Manager Rachel Duran

Rachel Duran is a valued member of the Learning and Development team at the San Antonio Area Foundation. She has varied experience ranging from accounting to executive administrative support. She found her passion in supporting people and earned her degree in Human Resources management in 2015. Rachel is also a SHRM Certified Professional. She has served the Area Foundation in our HRLD department since 2016 and now serves as our Learning and Development Manager. Rachel is most passionate about her faith, and she loves learning. She takes interest in wellness, creative writing, is a voracious reader, loves languages and learning about other cultures. When Rachel is not busy learning, she enjoys spending time with her husband and family.

Learning & Development Associate Juliana Pierce

Juliana Pierce plays a pivotal role through instructional design for the Area Foundation’s Learning & Development team. Juliana has a degree in Human Development and Family Studies, with a specialization as a Child life Specialist, from Texas Tech University, she brings a unique perspective to her role. Driven by a passion for learning and development, Juliana thrives on advancing her skills in training development. Her innovative approach to instructional design ensures that learning experiences are engaging, effective, and tailored to meet the diverse needs of learners. Juliana is dedicated to empowering individuals and organizations to reach their full potential in the pursuit of positive change.

  • Can I get a refund on classes?

    All classes are nonrefundable.

  • Are classes recorded?

    Classes are not currently recorded for learners.

  • How do I receive credit for attending the class?

    Upon completion of all the learning modules for a course, you will receive an email stating you have successfully completed. Modules include the pre-survey, Zoom session, and post-survey. All three are located in the learning module of your selected course.

  • How can I contact the Learning and Development team directly?

    Email the team at [email protected] for any additional questions, assistance with log-in, or to share your experience with our programs.

  • How do I access the Zoom sessions?

    All Zoom sessions can be accessed from the Learning Management System (LMS).
