This class helps nonprofit professionals navigate compassion fatigue and burnout, focusing on the differences between burnout and secondary trauma. Participants will learn practical tools for setting boundaries and managing emotional fatigue. Through interactive activities, self-assessments, and scenario analysis, attendees will gain insights into their compassion fatigue and develop actionable self-care strategies. By the end, participants will be equipped with a deeper understanding of their emotional triggers and practical steps to maintain balance while continuing to support their communities.

Mental Health Facilitator Sinclair Ceasar III

Sinclair Ceasar III, CEO and Founder of Sinclairity Consulting is a passionate advocate and community builder for promoting workplace mental health. With over a decade of experience in fostering environments that prioritize mental health and well-being Sinclair has dedicated his career to advancing the cause. Sinclair's unwavering commitment to mental health advocacy and workplace wellbeing has made him a sought-after speaker and consultant. Since 2012, he has collaborated with over 30 organizations, including Microsoft, LinkedIn, Johns Hopkins University, The National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI), San Antonio Zoo, YMCA, Haven for Hope, Mental Health America Lakeshore. Sinclair holds an M.S. degree in Leadership from Rosemont College and is certified in both Adult & Youth Mental Health First Aid.

  • Participants will leave with a self-care action plan that includes strategies for recognizing emotional triggers, managing stress, and integrating balance into their daily routines.

San Antonio Area Foundation Cancellation & Refund Policy

  • If a Course Is Cancelled or Postponed by the Area Foundation

    If a workshop or class is unexpectedly cancelled or postponed by the Area Foundation, a refund or credit toward another workshop or class will be issued.

  • If You Can’t Attend and Want to Send a Substitute

    If you are unable to attend a workshop or class, you may send a substitute in your place. Please contact the Learning and Development team at [email protected] in advance and provide their information so we can complete their enrollment.

  • Refund Policy for Cancellations by Registrants

    If you are unable to attend and would like a refund, please notify the Learning and Development team at [email protected] at least 72 hours before the course begins. A $15 administrative fee will be deducted from your refund.
