Vice President Lisa Brunsvold

Lisa Brunsvold is the Vice President for Marketing and Development at the San Antonio Area Foundation. Fundraising has been a significant part of her professional career for over three decades. She began her career in a TV newsroom before transitioning to telethon fundraising for pediatric healthcare and received national recognition for her work with the Children’s Miracle Network and Walmart. She continued to work in public relations and fundraising and has been a leader in political fundraising, independent education fundraising, children’s health and welfare and social services. Lisa is a graduate of Leadership San Antonio (Class 39). She also served on the LSA Steering Committee (Class 41) and eventually co-chaired LSA Class (42). Her volunteer board/committee service includes: American Heart Association, American Cancer Society, Cattle Barons Ball, Kappa Alpha Theta Alumni, National Charity League, Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi Alumni Association, and numerous Chamber of Commerce committee assignments. She is a proud native-Texan, and a San Antonio resident for more than 20 years. Lisa and her husband Paul have two daughters.

How do you know the right time to make the “big ask”?  How do you engage prospective donors in conversations about philanthropy?  Taught by a fundraiser with extensive experiencethis interactive course is designed to help improve your face-to-face solicitation skills.  The session will help boost your annual fund and major gift program while building your confidence in engaging prospective donors.

Refund/Credit Policy

  • The San Antonio Area Foundation has a no refund policy.

    If a workshop and/or class has been unexpectedly cancelled and/or postponed by the Area Foundation, a refund or credit towards another workshop and/or class will be issued. If a registrant is unable to attend a workshop and/or class, a substitute may be sent or a credit may be issued. No credits will be given for cancellations received less than 48 hours before a workshop.
