Learning and Development Manager, Ph.D.

Sandie Palomo-Gonzalez, Ph.D.

Sandie Palomo-Gonzalez has over 25 years of experience in the nonprofit and philanthropic sectors. She joined the San Antonio Area Foundation in 2007 and has managed grantmaking initiatives including $12 million awarded to South Texas nonprofits serving military families. The initiative garnered the Council on Foundation’s Critical Impact Award for innovative grantmaking. Palomo-Gonzalez also managed a $3 million grant making initiative supporting organizational effectiveness for nonprofits. She is currently a member of the organization’s Learning and Development team helping coordinate training, certification and cohort programs for area nonprofits. Palomo-Gonzalez holds a Ph.D. in Higher Education Administration from UT-Austin.

In this session, open exclusively to those who enrolled in the Spring Nonprofit Management Program, participants will reflect on and discuss theory, concepts and practices learned during the program. Participants will share success stories and lessons learned as they returned to their nonprofits and put new learning into practice.

Refund/Credit Policy

  • The San Antonio Area Foundation has a no refund policy.

    If a workshop and/or class has been unexpectedly cancelled and/or postponed by the Area Foundation, a refund or credit towards another workshop and/or class will be issued. If a registrant is unable to attend a workshop and/or class, a substitute may be sent or a credit may be issued. No credits will be given for cancellations received less than 48 hours before a workshop.
